Longcroft Letchworth offers 5 interior designed suites each with a climate controlled bedroom leading to a spacious play area allowing guests space to climb and exercise as well as relax. Longcroft Letchworth is nestled in the garden of Vicky and Neil’s family home with a peaceful and green outlook. Letchworth is the world’s first Garden City, ideally located between Hitchin, Stevenage and Biggleswade. Just off the A1(M) with easy access to the M25 and Central London, perfect for those wishing to check their cats in before enjoy their own holiday!

    Meet The Family

    "Longcroft Letchworth is situated at our home in Letchworth, North Hertfordshire the first Garden City in the UK. We are fortunate to live in a very quiet residential area surrounded by beautiful trees and are conveniently located 0.5 miles from the train station and 1.4 miles from the A1 in close proximity to Hitchin, Baldock and Stevenage."

    Vicky lives with her husband Neil and their two young daughters. The whole family adore animals, gardening and taking walks in the countryside. They have several lovely rescue chickens alongside Trixie, a beautiful black and white rescue kitty who loves nothing more but to explore the woodland backing onto their garden. The family also enjoy taking care of the many fish that live in their large garden pond.


    Vicky previously worked as a Business Support Manager in the global electronics industry and has given up that life to run her very own Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel. Vicky was inspired by her own experience of struggling to find home from home care for her own beloved cats. She researched setting up her own cattery then spoke to a friend who’s lovely Bengal Sacha had recently stayed at a Longcroft hotel, the rest is history!

    Emma was brilliant!

    Freddie, our 4 year old stayed with Emma for 9 days in May. We homed Freddie from the blue cross 6 months ago so weren't really too sure how he would react. The facilities at Longcroft are excellent and Freddie was already getting quite settled when we left him. Emma kept in regular contact with us via email and told us of a slight issue with Freddie settling in. Emma was brilliant, very patient and tried a number of things to try and find out what the problem was with Freddie. It wasn't long until we discovered he's super fussy about the type of litter he uses... Once Emma changed the litter to wood pellets all the issues disappeared. When we went to collect him, he was so settled and didn't really want to leave! I can't thank Emma enough for being so patient with our little man and for taking such great care of him. Longcroft is the only place Freddie will visit when we go on holiday as it's so reassuring to know that the 4 legged friend you love so much is getting great care. Freddie is looking forward to seeing Emma again in November and for 3 weeks this time!

    Amazing service and dedication

    Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel provides a really great service and our cat Tara was really well when she stayed there, as we could see from the photos.     Calm, organised and reassuring

    Our cat Hannah hadn't stayed away from home before, and we were in some turmoil because of building works. Emma was superb - calm, organised and reassuring. Hannah stayed with her twice, and was very happy in her wonderful suite. The photos were great as well. The whole experience was a great relief and about the only aspect of our project which was delivered on time and was better than expectations! I would like to give Longcroft Winchmore Hill the highest recommendation possible.

    Emma put me at complete ease

    It was so hard to decide what to do with our precious British Shorthair Terry Cat when my husband and I had to travel earlier this year. We looked at lots of options and when I spoke to Emma at Winchmore Hill Longcroft Cat Hotel on the telephone, she put me at complete ease and the decission was made Terry would be staying at Longcroft. Terry stayed with Emma for approx 18 days and Emma sent us regular photos and health updates. Emma was even accommodating when we changed our flights and collected Terry few days earlier than planned. Terry was well groomed and seemed very happy when we collected him. We have now booked Terry in for Christmas Break.

    The care and attention Emma gives is first class

    I was very happy indeed with the excellent facilities at Longcroft and the care that Basil received on his recent stay with Emma in Winchmore Hill. He is an older cat and this was the first time he had been away for 7 years. I was concerned about him, but Emma gave me complete reassurance and confidence that he would receive all the love, care and attention that he normally gets at home. Whilst I was away I received a photo of him and several text messages that completely put my mind at ease. The facilities are exceptional, the care and attention Emma gives is first class and the choice and quality of food is just like home cooking.     What a lovely place to leave our cat, we had regular updates and photographs from Vicky throughout our time away, we knew she was being well looked after. Our cat particularly liked eating in bed 😂I would highly recommend Longcroft even if you have a shy cat. I wouldn’t take my cat anywhere else.

    Vicky and the Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel in Letchworth are absolutely exceptional. It's so important to us that we know Bertie is having just as much fun and relaxation on his holiday as we are on ours and he 110% had the best time here!From first contact Vicky was super friendly and exudes so much passion for all things cats!! :) Very accommodating in allowing us to view the Luxury Cat Hotel before making any decisions as well and the booking process was simple, with so many nice options to choose from enabling us to make a customised stay for Bertie.The rooms are incredibly luxurious and spacious; a great play area with a huge cat tree, allowing for lots of climbing and hiding, the separate bedroom compartment has the swankiest wrought iron beds with plush cushions and is heated for the colder nights, great views out into the lovely garden and a seemingly endless supply of toys which Bertie loved playing with, chewing on and destroying!The level of contact we had from Vicky throughout the entirety of our holiday was second to none; daily photos and updates letting us know how Bertie was and what antics he was getting up to was amazing and we appreciated this so much. Also very clear to see how happy and settled Bertie was in every single photo and how beautifully groomed Vicky was keeping him. He got so much love and cuddles and play time during his stay here :)Thank you for everything Vicky, we will 100% be back again, we've no doubt Bertie is missing his holiday home already ;)

    Cannot recommend this service enough. From drop off to pick up, Vicky was fantastic with frequent updates, sending through lots of photos of the cats and responding to any queries that we had. She provided the most amazing care to our cats including daily cuddles, playtime and even helped to resolve some tummy issues with trying them on different types of cat food.The rooms are exceptionally clean, full of natural light and have access to fresh air, allowing the cats to watch out into the garden and listen to the birds. The bedrooms are lovely and heated so we did not have to worry about the cats getting cold during the night.We ended up having to extend the cats stay to 7 weeks due to a delay in our house purchase and Vicky was fantastic at accommodating this. If we had taken the cats to a standard cattery, there is no way we would have felt comfortable leaving them for such a long time but at Longcroft, we has the assurance that they were being well looked after and that most importantly, they were happy.Safe to say, I don't think our cats wanted to leave!

    Such a wonderful place for my furry baby to stay. Vicky was wonderful and kept me posted on his antics. He was very relaxed, we were so happy to have his first stay away made so easy, safe and fun for him. I know he kept Vicky entertained and made the most of play time with her. Thank you so much!

    Vicky and the Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel were absolutely brilliant, I cannot recommend them highly enough.Vicky is a lovely caring person who is passionate about the cats she looks after and making sure they are happy during their stay. Shortly before going to stay at Longcroft my cat, Rupert Bear, was diagnosed with a condition that requires detailed monitoring and a specialist diet. Vicky spent the time to make sure she understood what Rupert needed in terms of his care and diet, how to look out for a flare up of the condition and what to do if there was a flare up (luckily, he was really well on his Longcroft holiday). The regular updates and photos during Rupert’s stay were perfect and enabled me to relax on my holiday knowing that Rupert was happy, content and very relaxed in Vicky’s company.Rupert is now enjoying the toys from his going home party bag, such a lovely touch :) Vicky please keep up the amazing job you do and Rupert is looking forward to his next stay.

    What a lovely place to make sure our little kitty is looked after well while we were away. Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel in Letchworth is in a beautiful and serene location and Vicky was absolutely amazing. Daily updates with photos of our cat Jinx and how she was doing were really appreciated while we were away, especially as this was Jinx’s first time away from home. The suites for the cats are really spacious, meticulously clean and fitted with a big climbing frame/scratching post to keep your kitty occupied. Also fab covid procedures in place! Will most definitely book again next time we go away. Thank you Vicky! X

    I am delighted to say this cat hotel lived up to expectation and more! Vicky was just amazing in the way she cared for my two Sphynx cats, one of which is very naughty and boisterous. She took this in her stride. The run was very spacious and spotless. She was aware of the fact they get cold very quickly and ensured they wore their coats when necessary and ensured their bedroom was at the right temperature. She kept me informed throughout their stay which I found very reassuring. When I collected them she even sent them home with party bags containing food and toys....a lovely touch. An amazing experience for both cats and their owner.

    Vicky and her family look after the cats like they're their own. Very friendly and welcoming with excellent facilities and knowledge. My cat didn't want to come home, being pampered, groomed, entertained and fed like a king every day. Kingston will certainly be visiting again!

    Vicky was fantastic looking after our little Millie cat, from the moment we contacted her we knew she would genuinely take excellent care of Millie. The regular emails and photo updates were great and allowed us to relax on holiday knowing Millie was settled and being pampered. We would whole heartedly recommend Vicky to anyone!     Absolutely 5 star service. I wouldn't send my old cat anywhere else. Vicky was so attentive to the cats needs. The suites are spotless and the guests really are utterly spoilt. I don't think my cat wanted to leave. You can't even compare this place to a cattery - it's a spa for cats with an owner who truly adores them. Don't bother looking anywhere else other than Longcroft!

    I would highly recommend Longcroft Letchworth. Vicky made the whole experience from beginning to end a very personable and pleasurable one. Our 1yr old cat Pumpkin who had never stayed away from home before was treated like royalty. Will definitely be bringing Pumpkin back.

    My cat Teddy, absolutely adored her stay with Vicky last week. She is 16 years old and loves nothing more than sitting on her very own deluxe cat tower pretending she is not interested in the other guests and lapping up any attention she may get.It is a beautiful place and the cats are thoroughly spoilt and given heaps of loving care and I would not hesitate to book her in again and again!

    Cannot recommend Longcroft Letchworth & owner Vicky highly enough. From start to finish everything about the whole experience was simple and painless. Our cat Lolly absolutely loved her stay (seemed to have a better holiday than we did!). Communication with Vicky was superb and she kept us updated as often as we wanted.     This hotel is incredible! Vicky goes above and beyond to ensure the cat (and owner) feel relaxed and happy. She provides lovely updates about your cat's activities and cute photos. My cat wouldn't go anywhere else!! Faultless service from start to finish. I couldn't recommend highly enough!

    Our 5 month old kitten stayed with Vicky at Longcroft for 5 days over Easter. Being young he loves to play and loves human company. Vicky was brilliant with him and gave him all the attention he needed. We got daily updates on what mischief he was getting up to which put our minds at rest too and he had a great time. We will definitely be using regularly when we're away. I couldn't recommend more (but please don't book for when we're planning to go away because we found this place first!).
