THE DEPUTY MAYOR OPENS CHELMSFORD’S FIRST MULTI AWARD WINNING LUXURY CAT HOTEL

Over 100 guests enjoyed cupcakes and prosecco at the grand opening of Longcroft Chelmsford in the beautiful sunshine alongside very special guests Deputy Mayor Jon De Vries accompanied by Deputy Mayoress Maria De Vries last Sunday.

Deputy Mayor Jon De Vries, a cat lover and owner himself cut the ribbon and gave a short speech congratulating the new hotel owners and recognising the need for innovative pet care in the area.

Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Chelmsford is run by cat lovers Claire and Tim Rothwell. The five star accommodation offers each guest their very own private climate controlled bedroom leading out onto a further private and safe garden area complete with multi storey viewing platforms.  The environment is designed to be as close to the guests’ home environment as possible…. if not a little better!  Claire will put owners’ minds at ease by sending regular updates and photographs of their special felines!

Having sailed through licensing with flying colours and checking in their first feline guests, the new hotel has already been rated 5 star by their loving humans !

“Our 14 year old cat JuanCarlo had the pleasure of staying at the BRAND NEW, state-of-the-art Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel (Chelmsford) over the past 12 days and had THE best time. He was SPOILT ROTTEN by Claire and her gentle, dedicated group of caretakers which is why I think he did not want to come home. She emailed me with daily updates on how he was doing and gave him lots of treats for good behaviour. 🙂

I was pleasantly surprised how each private suite has a plush cat bed in one room (heated in the winter) with a cat flap that leads to another room which has a generous climbing apparatus (lots of hiding spaces) and of course, a fresh litter tray below. I was also impressed with the outdoor air circulation… it is a very well thought-out space indeed. I figured this is why JC came back refreshed and well adjusted… he has been very social with the family and we can see the ‘lingering Longcroft smile’ in his eyes. =^..^=

I cannot recommed Longcroft Chelmsford enough if you are thinking of booking a safe, comfortable place for your cat to stay while you are away on your next holiday. I hope your furry friend will have the pleasure of being spoiled here too, one day!”
