Feline the Love for New Hotel Longcroft Walkern

A warm welcome to Longcroft Walkern, which will be opened by self-confessed cat lover, Amanda this August. Amanda’s hotel provides a relaxing retreat in a private, gated development just off the main high street in the historic country village of Walkern. The hotel will serve Hertfordshire and the surrounding counties and is conveniently close to Stevenage, Hitchin, Royston, Hertford and Cheshunt.

Longcroft Walkern has eight luxurious suites, each with a climate-controlled bedroom and a private garden play area. Feline guests can enjoy climbing the multi-storey viewing platforms, while looking out over Amanda’s secluded garden with its mature trees and plenty of nature to keep them entertained in the peaceful, rural setting.

Amanda is passionate about cats: “I have two fur babies of my own, Tommy (a tuxedo boy) and Tilly (a Ragdoll mix), and they are my absolute world. I got my first kitten at the age of six and was instantly besotted, and since then have never been without a feline friend. Life doesn’t feel complete unless I have a cat chattering away in the background and rubbing against my legs!”

Amanda is a qualified accountant, who specialised in tax and worked in practice for 30 years. By chance she stumbled across Longcroft when searching for a suitable holiday location for her own beloved kitties. She quickly fell in love with the idea of opening her own luxury cat hotel.

“I am so excited about opening my own hotel and couldn’t think of a more purrrrfect way of spending my days than looking after such precious kitties! Customers can feel absolutely safe in the knowledge that I will treat and pamper every feline guest as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting all the different breeds and love how all cats have their own, unique personalities. Pussycats will be in good hands at Longcroft Walkern, so their owners can enjoy a relaxing, worry-free time away.”
