After being inspired by the channel 4 program “Compare Your Life” where Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel were featured offering cat lovers the chance to leave the rat race behind and start their own rewarding business, Sam decided she had to offer the same high level of care to cat lovers in and around Romford!

"After 29 years working in the City, my dream job is now a reality as I have opened my own luxury cat hotel. I can’t wait to offer the highest level of service and care to my Longcroft guests, we offer a real ‘home from home’ environment that enables owners to take their holidays guilt-free!   • You have got it just right!

    We are so happy to have found Abi and her beautiful cat hotel. Our two cats stayed for the first time recently and seemed to settle in immediately. We were pleasantly surprised to hear from Abi while we were away informing us that they were quite happy and totally chilled. This type of reassurance, the wonderful setting and Abi's genuine love and knowledge of cats makes this Hotel by far the best we have ever come across and we have owned cats for many years. We have already booked again for September. Well done, Abi you have got it 'just right!'

  • I wish that we could give more stars to Emma!

    I wish that we could give more stars to Emma! This was the first time we ever boarded our Burmese and she can be a grump when not in her comfort zone. Emma really worked with us to ensure that her stay was a great experience, both for Saffron and for us. From making sure that she had a "corner suite" to being really flexible on "check-in" and check-out" times and even sending us an update email during our holiday, Emma really made the whole process wonderful! We could not speak anymore highly of the Winchmore Hill Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel!

    I have used Longcroft Cat Hotel St Albans for the first time and I was so impressed with the excellent service and cleanliness of the rooms that I would recommend it to any cat owner. Ollie loved his little bed and when I collected him he was calm and looking very clean and smart. Gill obviously adores cats and made him feel at ease during his stay. So pleased we have found this cat hotel for our cat. We do worry when we go away that she is alright but we needn't have. Sam loves all the cats. Very attentive to their needs and asks all the right questions regarding eating, behaviour etc. Kept us informed while we were away via emails and accommodated us when we had a slight delay. Daisy was in perfect condition when we picked her up (very unusual from past experience with previous cattery). Thank you so much Sam. We will not hesitate to board daisy again with you.

I placed my rescue cat Munchkin in the care of Sam Scott for the first time this May for 10 days and I was surprised to hear how quickly she had settled in and friendly she was with Sam. Sam’s service and care was amazing and she did everything to ensure the transition for both myself and Munchkin was smooth. I received email updates and photos that showed my cat exploring her new home. And the icing on the cake was our reunion when I picked up Munchkin; seemed my cat had enjoyed the holiday so much she didn’t want to leave Sam. Would highly recommend Sam Scott’s branch and will definitely be using Sam again.Thank you again Sam.

My boy spent his very first holiday away from home and me with Sam. From start to finish ( initial enquiry to collection) the service and level of care has been outstanding. The facilities are 1st class and I can’t fault a single thing.... I’m sure Thomas would agree with me ?. Highly recommended, I’ll try and have Thomas stay with Sam again next time I go away!!

A 5 star experience from start to finish. My cat stayed at Longcroft Romford for 10 days and will certainly be returning when I’m next on holiday. The owner, Sam, is brilliant and obviously very passionate about her business. She went to great lengths to make sure that my cat settled in, spending time with us on arrival, playing with him during his stay, ensuring that he had the same food as at home, and keeping me updated with photos throughout my cat’s stay. It is a fantastic place and I would recommend it without hesitation to any other cat owner.

An absolutely fabulous place for your cat to go on their holiday when you go on yours!I couldn’t have felt more confident leaving my cat here as he was happy to explore his hotel room straight away rather than bury himself under his bed. Sam, the owner, clearly enjoys what she does so I knew he was going to be well looked after. I also received email photo updates to reassure me. Highly recommended will definitely be going back.

Archie stayed with at Longcroft Romford for just over 2 weeks. I was quite worried to have him at home when we were having building work carried out and also worried as this was his first time away from home with other cats close by. Sam stayed in touch with us to keep me update on Archie and how he was getting on which really put me at ease. When we went to collect him, he was so relaxed. I will definitely be sending him for another stay with Sam.

5* service from start to finish!!My bengal can be a handful at times but settled so quickly after receiving owner sam's attention to detail, and attended to his every need from the minute he got there until leaving. With regular updates and photos to put my mind at ease meant i could relax knowing my boy was being looked after with a 1st class professional service. The suites are spacious, immaculate, with private sleeping areas with a lovely play area for them to exercise and look out over the garden in a nice quiet environment which was perfect for my cats stay. He was so relaxed and happy when i collected him and he definitely enjoyed his stay.I was nervous about putting my boy in a cattery and now ive found the perfect place! I would highly recommend. Thank you so much sam.

We recently left our 2 cats with Sam for a week, and we will definitely use Longcroft Romford again in the future. The accommodation was 5 star and Sam is an excellent host and carer. So much so, that our kitties were in no rush to leave!Thank you again to Sam for the wonderful care she provided to our cats.

We were very nervous about sending our beloved little Lyco away for the first time for 2 weeks while we attended a wedding abroad. We searched everywhere for cat hotels but always fell short of our expectations until we came across Long Croft and Sam in Romford. From start to finish the service was great. We had an appointment to have a look and ask some questions, we were surprised in the structure that the cats were staying in, it was really luxurious and spacious. All the questions we asked were answered and we never felt forced to use the service. Sam, the lady that runs it told us to go away and look at other places and think about it.. but we were sure Long Croft was the best for Lyco. So we made our decision promptly which was 6 months in advanced from our holiday/ wedding. Once the day came Sam was very friendly and again she answered all of our questions.. she didn’t rush us or Lyco.. we eased him in and we were out within an hour. We got some pictures of Lyco throughout the two weeks which was nice. We could see him getting used to the environment with every picture sent. The menus looked good enough to eat ourself! We picked a selection of different food.We had a time slot once it was time to pick him up but once we got there we had some time to say hello to him and make sure he was okay as well as not just rushing him out as soon as possible. All round great service, great hotel and an amazing person that runs it.Thank you Sam!

I would 100% recommend Longcroft cat hotel in Romford. I was a little apprehensive about being away from my cat for two weeks whilst on honeymoon, but my worries soon disappeared once I met Sam and saw the lovely room Ollie, my cat, would be staying in. Sam often sent photos of Ollie and updated me on how he was doing, which was reassuring. Ollie was so relaxed when I picked him up!

Longcroft Cat Hotel in Romford is a beautiful, spotlessly clean, cattery. Our cat, Oliver, has stayed with Sam Scott three times and each time he has settled in extremely quickly. Oliver needs company, he likes a lot of attention and cuddles, which we know he gets when he stays here.When Oliver stayed at other catteries, he seemed desperate to come home and as he heard us approaching to collect him, he would rush to the door meowing.We know Oliver has enjoyed his stay with Sam at Longcroft Cat Hotel, as when we arrive to collect him, he doesn’t rush to the door but remains lying on his bed and goes all “heavy“ when we try to pick him up. It’s as though he does not want to come home!We had read similar reviews prior to his first visit and didn’t believe that our Oliver would not want to come home (as he loves his home and garden) but Sam obviously makes his stay so enjoyable he would be quite happy to extend it!Sam sends us regular email updates with photos of Oliver looking happy and relaxed. This is lovely, as we do miss Oliver when we’re away.All this gives us great peace of mind when we go away, as we know our precious “furry boy” is happy with Sam and well looked after.

Longcroft cat hotel is by far the most amazing place I could ever have hoped to have found for my cats! Sam was absolutely amazing from start to finish, she sent pictures of my cats every other day to reassure me that they were settling in. The rooms are absolutely immaculate and I wouldn’t say that lightly as I’m a clean freak! It’s surprising how clean, secure and cozy it it is there and you can tell that Sam has a passion for cats. I’m so glad I found this little gem, I’m now confident that my cats will be well cared for if I’m ever away. I couldn’t rate this place high enough! I will definitely be booking my fur babies in again! Thank you Sam!

We picked Luna (11 year old British Short Hair) up from her 2 weeks stay yesterday. It didn’t take her long to settle in back at home which is great to see and must mean she was super relaxed during her stay. Sam is lovely and makes sure that the cats are looked after very well. She also sends regular updates and photos on which you can see how at ease Luna looked after the initial 1-2 days at the beginning. After the stay we even got a little bag with goodies, a bag of Dreamies and 3 toys for Luna which she loves! I would definitely do exactly the same during our next holiday, it’s nice when you don’t have to worry at all. The drop off and pick up was also easy to arrange and I had a quick look at the place beforehand - lovely space for the cats with a big climber too :) Thank you!

I have never left my 2 cats Maddie and Charlee before and was worried about how they would cope being away from home. When I first spoke to Sam Scott I had such a good feeling about leaving them in her care, she is such a lovely lady and so passionate about her business I felt really at ease. Whilst we were away Sam emailed me about their progress with a photo postcard (such a lovely touch) which gave me such reassurance to their well being that I could enjoy my holiday without any concerns. Longcroft Hotel is exceptionally clean and immaculate my girls will certainly be visiting Sam again and would strongly recommend her establishment to those wishing to boarder their cats.

We put our cat Mixie there and were very apprehensive as she had not enjoyed her last stay at another cattery. Sam was totally professional and understood our concerns. The place is immaculate and clean. Sam is very cat friendly and sent us pictures every few days via email. When we came to collect her,she didn't want to leave! Which is a good sign of a contented cat! Would not hesitate to recommend this place and Sam highly enough!

I was really nervous about leaving my fur baby for two weeks as he is a house cat and very nervous but Sam is amazing! I knew that on the first viewing visiting she would really care for my cat. She sent me regular updates of how he was getting on with some pictures too! Would defiantly recommend Sam!

Our furiebabies Grace & Simba stayed for a week at Sam's wonderful accommodation. I knew from the very moment I have visited the place that they'll be in good hands with Sam.And I was right!
