Settling in
At Longcroft we encourage you to show your cat to his or her suites and settle in.
Our experience tells us that a happy and calm owner means a happy cat. Please let us know if your cat is worried by car travel or is a shy or nervous type as we have proven methods that calm nervous cats that we are happy to discuss in more detail.
5-star service
At Longcroft we take guest services very seriously and go the extra mile to ensure that all of the services we provide are maintained to the highest standards. Please ask us if there is anything else that you would like us to provide outside of our listed offerings.
24-hour care
Our round-the-clock presence ensures the safety of all our guests in particular those very young or senior, and more nervous cats and first time guests. View our guest book for feedback from owners of first time guests and nervous cats.
Music policy
Cheerful music is played throughout the day, and our open design allows our guests to take in the scenery and sounds, and watch the birds in their natural surroundings.
Meals
Every one of our guests has different needs, from kittens that need feeding 6-7 times a day, to cats with special dietary requirements. In keeping with our ‘home-from-home’ philosophy, we do not believe in the same set mealtimes for each of our guests. Instead we replicate as closely as possible the mealtimes and meal choices that they enjoy at home, simply tell us what you would prefer when you make the booking.
Our guests enjoy extensive menu of both premium brands and our exclusive A La Cat menu choices. Meals at Longcroft are served on bone china plates.
Water
Is available at all times served in porcelain bowls.
Grooming
We groom each of our guests on a daily basis, but only if they like it, to ensure that they stay in top condition.
If however you would like to book extra pampering time for your cat, we offer blocks of 20-minute treatments, for prices please see our tariff.
Health and safety
We care for our guests as if they were our own, providing an immaculate, homely and safe environment that’s proven to result in contented, healthy and relaxed felines.
Accommodation
We have invested in the highest quality accommodation that exceeds all national regulations, to ensure our guests are snug and warm in the winter, and cool and calm in the summer. The impervious construction of the building and strict cleaning system ensures an extremely high standard of care and cleanliness at Longcroft. Rooms are cleaned daily and a deep clean is undertaken between guests.
24-hour Veterinary Care
Once you confirm your booking, we will ask you for your vet details as part of our cat profile form. In the unlikely event that any guest should become unwell whilst in our care we have also enlisted a dedicated vet practice for each of our Hotels, offering 24-hour care for all of our guests.
Vaccinations For the safety of all of our guests we ask your cat is vaccinated against Feline Enteritis and Feline Influenza. We ask each owner to provide a vaccination certificate before check-in and regret we are unable to accept any guests without one.
