Longcroft Crowthorne offers just eight luxury suites, located in owner Felicia’s pretty garden and providing round the clock supervision, security and consistency of care. The peaceful location is perfect for both indoor and outdoor guests – a calm retreat designed with comfort and feline happiness in mind.

Animal welfare is at the heart of everything we do and every cat receives plenty of playtime and one on one attention. All cat owners receive regular updates and photos throughout their kitty’s stay, giving them complete peace of mind that their feline family members are safe, happy, and thoroughly pampered.

Each of our suites comes complete with a thermostatically controlled bedroom, a wrought-iron bed with soft bedding, and an adjoining private play area that brings the outdoors safely in. Every guest can enjoy fresh air and the sights and sounds of nature while remaining cosy, secure and enclosed. Each suite features a full-height cat tree with sunbathing platforms and privacy films between suites. Daily housekeeping with meticulous litter care ensures every suite remains clean, calm and beautifully maintained.

Throughout their stay we provide tailored enrichment, gentle grooming, care needs and mealtimes to meet each guest’s established routine. For owners who value exceptional standards or for felines with more specific needs, we offer our Luxury All Inclusive Package and Medical Care packages are available. We can provide chauffeur travel arrangements on request.

    Meet The Family

    Felicia is a huge animal lover, whose family includes her husband, three children, English Pointer and their beloved pussycats, Jess and Moon, who are both 12 years old. Felicia has loved cats all her life and has always lived with at least one since she was a baby.

    She says, “Cats have provided a wonderful constant in my life and I would never be without them”. Felicia is qualified Equine Veterinary Nurse, who formerly worked at the University of Cambridge School of Veterinary Medicine. She has experienced taking care of all sorts of animals in the past, from domestic cats to big cats, including prepping a tiger for surgery! More recently she was working as a Data Manager at a local school, but then relished the chance to spend more time with her cats when working from home during lockdown. This inspired her to make a change of career. After a bad personal experience using catteries for her own cats in the past, and then a friend’s positive experience with Longcroft, she was motivated to set up her own luxury cat hotel:

    “When I visited Abi's hotel in Welwyn, I was blown away by how gorgeous the hotel was, and the amazing range of services on offer. Not only did I want my cats to stay, I wanted to be able to offer this luxury service to my local area. It felt like all the pieces of a puzzle were slotting into place and I couldn't wait to get the ball rolling. I can't express how much I look forward to meeting all of my feline visitors, and their owners of course. I feel like I am dreaming, being able to spend my days caring for, cuddling and playing with beautiful kitties.”

    Fliss did not disappoint!

    From the moment I engaged with Fliss, she made me feel at ease, provided me with a wealth of information about Tilly's stay and told me about the updates I would receive whilst on holiday. Fliss did not disappoint! Every two days, myself and the family would excitably be looking out for the updates from Fliss and Tilly which enabled us to enjoy our holiday even more so knowing that Tilly was in the best hands ❤ We even received a postcard from Tilly which was such a special touch. Thank you so much Fliss. We really appreciate you taking care of our baby and Tilly will definitely be back for a holiday again soon ❤

    Truly heartwarming

    Fliss took excellent care of my Bengal X, Maverick. It was his first cat hotel/cattery stay, the kindness showed to get him settled in was truly heartwarming. The daily updates and photos were such a comfort to me! He looks like he had a lot of fun, including the toy advent calendar! He also enjoyed lots of cuddles with Fliss and his care was tailored to what he enjoys :) I wouldn’t want to take him anywhere else, and he’s already booked in for his next stay!!

    A wonderful peaceful provision

    Our cat (best friend and cherished family member) had a wonderful stay with Fliss. I can’t say enough what great care was provided. The regular updates we received were so full of thought and I could see from the images sent how happy our cat was. The space was beautifully arranged and spotless. The environment a wonderful peaceful provision of squirrel and bird watching. When people ask about our holiday, I tell them about our cat’s. She has returned happy as ever and with an extra fluffy bounce in her step. Thank you Fliss for being one of a kind and putting such heart and soul into caring for our cat. (And the other cats staying too. They all looked just as happy.)

    Could not recommend Longcroft and in particular Fliss enough. Any pet owner knows how stressful it can be finding someone to care for your pets while on holiday, but it was so reassuring knowing that my cats were ok and being so well looked after. One of my cats enjoyed it so much she actually didn’t want to come home!
