Our hotel is situated in a peaceful garden in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within the Green Belt of the rural village of Winchmore Hill – Amersham in Buckinghamshire. Conveniently located for all major motorways, Winchmore Hill is also situated only 30 minutes from Heathrow airport. The hotel offers six very large heated luxurious suites, each with their own wrought iron beds and exercise area, and wonderful views.

Five Star Service!

This was the first time we ever boarded our Burmese and she can be a grump when not in her comfort zone. Emma really worked with us to ensure that her stay was a great experience, both for Saffron and for us. From making sure that she had a 'corner suite' to being really flexible on 'check-in' and 'check-out' times and even sending us an update email during our holiday, Emma really made the whole process wonderful! We could not speak anymore highly of the Winchmore Hill Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel!

    Meet The Family

    Emma lives with her husband Mark, two daughters aged 5 and 10, their rescue cat Molly and more recent puppy Teddy. Alfie and Texas their two beloved horses also complete the family.

    “I think I was born a cat lover! I have always had a cat ever since I remember. My earliest memory was Pupa a lovely black and white cat that befriended me as a child. She seemed to make it very clear that this was to be her new home! Even when I left home for university, apart from when I was in Halls of Residence, I had my black cat Sam with me the whole time. He was later joined by Poppy who later went on to be my companion of 19 1/2 years and saw me right through my adult life. She was with us when we built and opened our Longcroft cat hotel in 2005! As you can see cats are very important to me, so when the opportunity arose to run my own business and look after cats, it felt like a dream come true! Couple that with working from my back garden in an idyllic village fitting work around my young children and animals, then life doesn't get any better than that"

    Emma put me at complete ease

    It was so hard to decide what to do with our precious British Shorthair Terry Cat when my husband and I had to travel earlier this year. We looked at lots of options and when I spoke to Emma at Winchmore Hill Longcroft Cat Hotel on the telephone, she put me at complete ease and the decission was made Terry would be staying at Longcroft. Terry stayed with Emma for approx 18 days and Emma sent us regular photos and health updates. Emma was even accommodating when we changed our flights and collected Terry few days earlier than planned. Terry was well groomed and seemed very happy when we collected him. We have now booked Terry in for Christmas Break.

    Calm, organised and reassuring

    Our cat Hannah hadn't stayed away from home before, and we were in some turmoil because of building works. Emma was superb - calm, organised and reassuring. Hannah stayed with her twice, and was very happy in her wonderful suite. The photos were great as well. The whole experience was a great relief and about the only aspect of our project which was delivered on time and was better than expectations! I would like to give Longcroft Winchmore Hill the highest recommendation possible.

    Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel provides a really great service and our cat Tara was really well when she stayed there, as we could see from the photos. Tara has already stayed in two different Longcrofts and the service and dedication is always amazing. We advise this hotel to our friends since we know our cat will be in good hands.

    Emma was brilliant!

    Freddie, our 4 year old stayed with Emma for 9 days in May. We homed Freddie from the blue cross 6 months ago so weren't really too sure how he would react. The facilities at Longcroft are excellent and Freddie was already getting quite settled when we left him. Emma kept in regular contact with us via email and told us of a slight issue with Freddie settling in. Emma was brilliant, very patient and tried a number of things to try and find out what the problem was with Freddie. It wasn't long until we discovered he's super fussy about the type of litter he uses... Once Emma changed the litter to wood pellets all the issues disappeared. When we went to collect him, he was so settled and didn't really want to leave! I can't thank Emma enough for being so patient with our little man and for taking such great care of him. Longcroft is the only place Freddie will visit when we go on holiday as it's so reassuring to know that the 4 legged friend you love so much is getting great care. Freddie is looking forward to seeing Emma again in November and for 3 weeks this time!

    The care and attention Emma gives is first class

    I was very happy indeed with the excellent facilities at Longcroft and the care that Basil received on his recent stay with Emma in Winchmore Hill. He is an older cat and this was the first time he had been away for 7 years. I was concerned about him, but Emma gave me complete reassurance and confidence that he would receive all the love, care and attention that he normally gets at home. Whilst I was away I received a photo of him and several text messages that completely put my mind at ease. The facilities are exceptional, the care and attention Emma gives is first class and the choice and quality of food is just like home cooking.     This was the first time Marley, our rescue cat, stayed in Longcroft and we can't recomend Jenny enough. Marley is very shy cat and scared of new pople, places & noises. Based on our past experiencies with other catteries we expected Marley to be stressed when we picked him up but we were so happy and pleasantly surprised to find him happy and relaxed in his lovely room. Jenny did great job with him and made him feel safe and relaxed. She is wonderful lady, who understands cats need. She also sent us regular updates in form of photos and videos so we could also relaxed knowing that Marley is happy and safe. Also place is spotless and set in beautiful quiet garden where cats could watch birds and squirrels. Lovely place and lovely lady, who will go above and beyond to give outstanding service.     I was very worried leaving our Tonkinese cat who’s 8 years old for the first time at Longcroft cat hotel. However after a weeks stay and being thoroughly looked after by everyone she was absolutely fine. The care and attention they provide is very reassuring and I would certainly recommend and not hesitate to use again.

    This was the first time that Poppy, our shy 1 year old cat had stayed away from us, so we wondered how she would react.We are so happy that we found Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel in Winchmore Hill as the facilities are excellent, the suites are spotlessly clean with cosy & private sleeping areas, and they are in a delightful and secure setting.Poppy stayed in the 'Poppy Suite' which was a nice touch from Emma, who clearly loves and cares for the cats staying in her hotel, and she helped Poppy gain confidence. It was comforting to receive photos & messages about how Poppy was getting on while we were away. Also a lovely surprise to receive a goody bag of snacks & toys when we collected Poppy, thank you Emma.We definitely recommend Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel in Winchmore Hill.

    Brilliant hotel and caring staff to look after my cat. The hotel suites are immaculate, and give an owner total comfort that their cat will be well cared for in spotlessly clean surroundings.     It was the first time our cat had been left at a cat hotel, and after 18 months of lockdowns and us being at home nearly every day we were worried about how she would cope. We need not have worried! She came back looking great and happy. Would definitely use Longcroft at Winchmore Hill in the future. It was so nice not having to worry while we were away.

    This was the 2nd stay for our beautiful cat at Longcroft Winchmore Hill.As before, Emma provided us with a 5 star service... she is so friendly and professional, and our cat comes home looking so calm, sleek, shiny and with a lovely goody bag!With regular contact from Emma and email pictures throughout our holiday, we were happy to see Malteser enjoying her playtime with Emma in Longcroft, using the climbing frame and snoozing in her luxury suite...

    This was Gizmo's first visit to Longcroft but it won't be the last. He came home so chilled and relaxed and loved his little bag of goodies. Not only was he well cared for, I also felt completely relaxed leaving him there and hearing from him while we were away. Such a clever boy!

    This was Freddie’s second stay at Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel but his first at Winchmore Hill. He loved it! He loved all the fuss and attention Emma gave him and we loved all the updates we received. The postcard was such a lovely touch.

    Never having put our two ginger furballs in a cattery it was imperative that they should enjoy their holiday as much as we were looking forward to ours. The visit to see the Longcroft cat hotel made up my mind this was the place for my two - the apartments are spacious, scrupulously clean and residents all at ease as you walk through... so the all inclusive service was booked and our suitcases packed. Emma was brilliant kept in touch and answered any questions we had. I cant reccomend it enough- if I was a cat I'd book a room there myself.

    First time we have used Longcroft Winchmore Hill, and were impressed from the time we viewed the property. It is a hotel not a cattery. Emma was very helpful and the email to say Fergie had settled in and was eating well was very reassuring.. Fergie could be a little shy but came home with more confidence. I am sure if she new she would be looking forward to her next stay in November.

    I have two rescue cats, one of whom is very nervous and hates men (and strangers of any description). Previous catteries had not been a success, but they both came home from Longcroft relaxed and happy and in beautiful condition. The nervous one had the beginnings of a couple of knots in her fur when we left tbem, but they had gone when we picked them up. I can't recommend Longcroft highly enough. And they came home with a goody bag!

    Longcroft is so much more than a cattery. We have just returned from a week's holiday when our 3 cats stayed with Emma. 2 of our cats are particularly shy but we could see from the photos Emma sent us that she had won their trust and they were very relaxed.When we collected them they were in excellent condition and once home again, clearly very content.The accommodation is spotless and in a beautifully calm setting.We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Longcroft at Winchmore Hill for your cats' holidays.

    I used this cattery while on a two week holiday and couldn’t be happier. My cat hates travelling in the car so it’s great it’s so close. Then when you arrive it’s five star service all the way. Emma greats you and shows you round to the very clean and tidy cat pens. When I went to collect my fluff ball he couldn’t have looked more comfy on his bed totally relaxed which was great to see. I would highly recommended

    Our cat, Monty, clearly had a wonderful at Longcroft! When we brought him home we found that he had gained in self-confidence (he is a shy 2 year old) and was very affectionate and talkative! His coat was immaculate after a Spa grooming treatment too!! Thank you, Emma, for such excellent care and we will be booking again very soon.

    I was absolutely delighted with the care and attention that my two cats received during their stay with Emma at Longcroft Cat Hotel this weekend! Sammy and Tigger are quite elderly and Tigger is on a lot of medication, so I was very nervous about leaving them as we have had bad experiences with Catterys in the past. I needn't have worried though, Emma is very happy to administer medication and she gave me plenty of time to get them settled into their suite before we left, she also sent me an update and some photos of them, which showed them looking extremely comfortable and relaxed, this was very reassuring for me and meant that I could relax too! When we went to collect them they almost didn't want to leave and it was obvious that they had been extremely well cared for during their weekend away. I can't recommend Emma and Longcroft Cat Hotel highly enough, we will certainly be booking Sammy and Tigger in there again for their next holiday!

    Our 2 cats had a 2 week stay here and came home very happy and healthy. Emma sent us a few photos as well while we were away which was a lovely touch! Highly recommended and we have booked with them for our next holiday.

    The moment we met Emma, and viewed her beautiful Longcroft Hotel in Winchmore Hill, we knew that our two pedigree 4-year old cats (who have never been away from home) were going to be exceptionally well looked after. When checking-in, Emma met us reassured both of our cats, who were extremely nervous and helped them settle in. Nothing was too much trouble and they were brilliantly cared for throughout their stay. A lovely touch was the little updates of their holiday experience! Overall brilliant service, brilliant support and I cannot recommend Emma any higher.P.s. They will look forward to coming back soon.     It was our kittens first time away from us so we were very anxious leaving them. We needed not to have worried as Emma took wonderful care of Oscar and Cato. Cato is the shyer of the two and Emma took special care with him to make sure he settled in. We loved the fact that Emma kept us up to date throughout our holiday which meant we could enjoy it knowing the boys were settled and happy. Every detail is taken care of and it was so sweet that they had their own goody bag to bring home. Have already booked our next stay.

    I can't thank Emma enough for looking after Midge. She was so relaxed with her, it was so lovely to see! She kept her as calm as possible and kept me updated throughout her stay. It meant that I could really relax on holiday and not worry! She's looking forward to her next holiday already!

    My two rescue cats have just spent their first ever week away with Emma at Longcroft, Winchmore Hill. Emma took such great care of them and kept us up to date with how they were settling in which really helped put us at ease that they were doing ok. They were very content when we arrived to pick them up and have settled back at home really quickly. They’ve clearly had plenty of loving care and attention on their little holiday, so we couldn’t ask for more!

    Emma looks after Chester as if he is one of her own cats. He loves going there and being pampered and enjoys playtime immensely. It is great that I can leave him with Emma whilst I go on holiday, knowing that he is having a better time than me! I would recommend Longcroft to anyone who wants their cat to be looked after.

    This is the best cattery we've ever used (our cats are 13 and 12) so we've toured and tested a number in our area.Our moggies (we don't use the word in their hearing) are SO well cared for and very obviously nurtured and cosseted by Emma. What's more, we were so reassured, being on the other side of the world, by the texts and photos Emma sent.During our most recent absence from them over Christmas and New Year, they were with Emma for six weeks and came back purring, replete with a lavish Christmas box of treats and gifts (including some fortifying chocolates for us ... at least I think they were for human consumption!)Can't recommend highly enough ... we certainly feel very confident about leaving our cats in Emma's care.

    I don’t think I’ll be able to explain just how pleased I’ve been with the service that Emma has given to us and our two cats. Both our cats are just over a year old and are not used to people at all, very shy. We were going away for two weeks and wanted to know they would be in safe hands. We found Emma on line and this was over an hour away from where we live but we went to visit and immediately knew that Emma had the set up that our cats would be safe in and we could enjoy our holiday knowing they were safe and well. Their two weeks was great and they have come back and settled in with no issues as she tailors their stay to what they are used too. I will definitely be using Emma again as she has taken on our cats as her own with lots of love and hugs and updated us with their goings on whilst we were away. Five stars just isn’t enough well worth the money. Thank you.

    I was a little worried leaving my little naughty tortie Missy, as this was only her second time away from home. I had nothing to worry about. I was given time to settle her in and she looked quite content when I left her. Emma sent me an update to let me know how Missy was getting on. It was reassuring to hear she was happy and to see photos. I picked up a happy and healthy Missy at the end of her stay and it was not long before she was back to her cheeky ways at home. Thanks Emma!

    I just want to thank Emma for Milo and Loki's wonderful stay at Longcroft. They stayed at Longcroft for 2 weeks and I'm sure they had an amazing time, as they looked very happy and healthy on their return. Emma gave us regular updates and send us loads of pics as well which made us so relaxed during our holiday. Our lovely kittens even came back with gifts form Emma, which they still enjoy playing with.I would highly recommend Longcroft Winchmore to anyone who wants to leave their precious cats in safe hands .Emma - I'll let you know when I book my next holiday, as I would like Milo and Loki to stay at Longcroft itself!

    We cannot thank Emma and her team enough for looking after our Siamese/Balinese kitten. Being an indoor cat and never leaving home before, we were a bit anxious about him being away - but we needn’t have worried. Nothing was too much trouble for Emma, and it sounds like she enjoyed cuddles with him as much as he enjoyed them with her!We would highly recommend Longcroft Winchmore Hill. Emma, thank you so much - you’re fabulous! x
