Longcroft Creeting St Peter offers just eight luxury suites, each with its own climate-controlled bedroom, leading to a private, safe, play area, complete with multi-storey viewing platforms for feline guests to play or relax. The peaceful location is perfect for both indoor and outdoor guests. With gorgeous views over owner LJ’s two acres of garden, which plays host to lots of birds, rabbits, hares and deer, there will be plenty of natural entertainment for feline guests to watch from the comfort of their suites.

Creeting St Peter is a small, historic and charming village nestled in Mid Suffolk’s Gipping Valley. Located between Stowmarket and Needham Market, just off the A14, the hotel is surrounded by fields and farmland but is conveniently close to Ipswich and Colchester. Situated at the end of a tiny lane, with wrap around garden and a meadow, the hotel is located to the side of LJ’s home, overlooking her beautiful, mature garden. So, she is always close at hand to cater to her feline guests’ every need.

    Meet The Family

    LJ and her husband of 28 years, Jon, adore all things feline – as a couple they have always lived with at least two cats, including rescue kitties and pedigree pussycats. Their home has never been without pets, always cats and sometimes other animals too - currently they have six chickens as well as their three cats: a ginger tom named Roo, a Scottish Fold called Trudy and Percy, a Maine Coon. They even took their pet cats with them when they lived overseas for a time and adopted more while they were there! So they have plenty of experience caring for a wide range of cats, with their different personalities and needs. Longcroft Creeting St Peter is a real family affair, with LJ’s husband, plus their grown up son and daughter, joining in the cat cuddles at the weekends. Kitties will receive plenty of one-on-one human interaction and expert care.

    Now they are settled in their gorgeous forever home, LJ is excited to be stepping away from her job at a tech firm to focus on caring for other people’s cats while they are away:

    Our cat had never been in a cattery and at 12, he can be a grumpy old man! So I was a little nervous, but all my concerns were put to rest as soon as i arrived. He was pampered and spoilt, in his wonderfully warm, cozy bed and all the attention he required. The hotel was spotless and all the guests I saw were chilled and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

    Set in beautiful surroundings

    As usual, an outstanding service from Longcroft. We know that our two cats are in loving hands. Its clear from everything that they do that LJ and her daughter are cat lovers. Our cats quite literally didn't want to leave!! The little touches like e-mailed photos throughout their stay make it a truly special experience, particularly appreciated by our young children while we were away. As with all Longcroft sites, the suits are set in beautiful surroundings with a view of chickens outside. Crucially, unlike some other catteries, there are no dogs being housed nearby either, which is a big selling point if you have a cat who doesn't like dogs. The rooms are clean, spacious and furnished with plenty of things to keep cats occupied. I wouldn't leave my cats with anyone else!!

    Merlot LOVED his time at Longcroft in Creeting St Peter, so much it appeared he didn't want to leave 😱❤️. LJ was very kind and attentive, with both me and Merlot. It was his first time away from home. LJ phoned to chat with me prior to my going to look around. She put me completely at ease and is clearly passionate about her guests, owners and her hotel. I was kept updated with photos and messages, which definitely helped. Merlot was a very happy boy 🐈‍⬛ I highly recommend Longcroft for anyone who is a first time parent looking for a special place for their 🐈‍⬛❤️ whilst away. Top notch in everyway.     I recently boarded my cat, Boo, at Longcroft in Creeting St Peter, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. From the moment I dropped her off, I knew she was in the best hands. LJ was incredibly kind, attentive, and clearly passionate about giving each cat individual care and attention. Boo settled in quickly, and I was kept updated with photos and messages, which gave me such peace of mind.
