    Meet The Family

    Longcroft Flitwick’s custom-built, fully-licensed accommodation comprises four luxury suites. It is nestled in the peaceful courtyard garden of owner Louise’s family home, in a quiet residential area of the small town of Flitwick.

    The experience Longcroft Flitwick offers is designed to be as close to the guests’ home life as possible, with one-on-one care and room service offered as standard. Louise is passionate about cats and animal welfare and believes in making every feline guest feel like part of the family: “I like to care for all the gorgeous ‘fur babies’ that come to stay with us as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting every feline with the love, cuddles and understanding they need, ensuring I satisfy the expectations of their owners and offering them peace of mind when they are away.”

    It's the best holiday they have ever had

    Having viewed at least 10 places locally and feeling very disheartened by the lack of connection with the proprietors , their lack of real passion in cats and also seeing that the cat suites where nothing more than just a basic wooden shelter with little security I was about to give up. Then I saw an advert for Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel, I immediately went the website and I knew there and then that I had found my cats the perfect safe place. Having put my 16yr old in a cattery before he had destroyed his room, pulled the cat flap away from the internal wall, so I was really worried. But to my surprise he quickly took to Abi and his new holiday home, within a few minutes he was eating and quiet contended. The 2 girls both seemed a little more cautious but after a while settled in happily. Abi knew it was my first time leaving them in a new place and that my eldest was on tablets and my youngest was very nervous and hated being away from me for long periods, but I knew they were safe and Abi would look after them. It was the first time I have left them and not looked back wondering if they are OK, are they happy? Which actually made my vacation more enjoyable. When I returned to collect them I was a little sad that they did not rush to meet me, instead they were lying on their beds chilling in no rush to move. I have already booked their next Holiday for 2015. If they could actually speak to me they would say ‘it’s the best holiday they have ever had and could I go away more often’.

    A guaranteed home away from home

    I have been bringing my cats to stay with Abi at Longcroft for several years now and I could argue that they prefer being there to being at home! They clearly love it there as when I collect them they are content, relaxed and have clearly thrived. Abi is always very aware of the welfare of cats in her care, and on occasions when I've had concerns about the health of one of my cats she has kept a close eye on him, monitored his weight and how much he was eating and kept me updated of how he was whilst I was away. A guaranteed home away from home for cats.

    You have got it just right!

    We are so happy to have found Abi and her beautiful cat hotel. Our two cats stayed for the first time recently and seemed to settle in immediately. We were pleasantly surprised to hear from Abi while we were away informing us that they were quite happy and totally chilled. This type of reassurance, the wonderful setting and Abi's genuine love and knowledge of cats makes this Hotel by far the best we have ever come across and we have owned cats for many years. We have already booked again for September. Well done, Abi you have got it 'just right!'

    Our two much loved cats, Marmie the ever-hungry hilarious ginger tom, and Purdy the timid sweet little tabby girl, have just had their first ever stay away from home. The accommodation was superb: definitely unbeatable for comfort and cleanliness. Harvey looked after them really well, and sent us an update to assure us they were settling in. He even trained Marmie to use a cat flap, Harvey and John obviously care for both the cats and their owners. We can highly recommend the Longcroft Cat Hotel. We will definitely be booking them in for another holiday when we have our summer dates. We will have to do this as soon as possible - once word gets round they will be fully booked!     So impressed with the excellent service and cleanliness

    I have used Longcroft Cat Hotel St Albans for the first time and I was so impressed with the excellent service and cleanliness of the rooms that I would recommend it to any cat owner. Ollie loved his little bed and when I collected him he was calm and looking very clean and smart. Gill obviously adores cats and made him feel at ease during his stay.     First time leaving our cats and we were very anxious as they are used to being able to roam in and out of the house, however, Lou put us completely at ease and they seemed to settle in very quickly. Loved receiving the regular updates and photos. Would definitely recommend.

    Pablo and Noodle loved their stay at Longcroft with Lou. She was really lovely and they were so well looked after.Lou sent photo updates and they looked super cosy on their bed!They also loved the toys in their going home goodie bag!We wouldn’t hesitate to book in another mini break for them with Lou

    Purrfect! 🐱🐱It was our first time leaving Link and Zelda so we were quite nervous, but Lou quickly put us at ease and both cats settled in well and absolutely loved their holiday. Lou is lovely and warm and you can easily tell how much she loves cats. Both cats were very happy and looked gorgeous after all their grooming sessions! The suites are cosy, spacious and spotlessly clean. Can highly recommend Longcroft Flitwick, the cats can't wait for their next stay which I have already booked! Thank you Lou! 😊

    As much as we hate being away from Nibbles we are really happy with Lou and the Cat Hotel. Nibbles is well cared for and Lou is amazing with the cats. We have used Lou more than once and will always use Lou as my first port of call. Whilst away Lou kept in regular contact with updates and photos. The hotel itself is roomy and clean and you need your cat being looked after by someone that loves them and Lou certainly does.

    Hi 👋 my name is Merlin and I love staying at Longcroft with my Auntie Lou. My suite is always warm and I love my cozy bed with my blanket on it. I love that Lou gives me lots of cuddles and attention as I need my daily cuddle quota. I also love the meals I get - my special menu is always delicious. Longcroft is my home away from home and I always feel safe and loved there. Thanks Auntie Lou! =^^=

    Our furry friend stayed with Lou whilst we were away. I think our cat couldn't have been in better hands! Facilities are stunning and sparkling clean; Lou and her partner are kind and seem to have a genuine passion for what they do. I cannot recommend them enough and we will definitely go back in the future.
