The award coincides with International Women’s Day on 8th March 2026, making this recognition even more meaningful. The Female Diamond Entrepreneur Award celebrates exceptional women who demonstrate vision, resilience, innovation and leadership – qualities Abi has embodied since launching Longcroft.

In 2010, Abi transformed cat boarding in the UK when she opened the very first Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel from her home in Hertfordshire. Inspired by her deep love of cats and a belief that they deserved a calm, safe and truly luxurious alternative to traditional catteries, she pioneered the concept of boutique, home-from-home feline accommodation. With private, spacious suites, underfloor heating, enrichment and personalised care tailored to each guest, Abi redefined industry standards and created an entirely new category of premium cat care.

Since then, Longcroft has grown into a trusted, award-winning franchise network across the UK, while remaining rooted in the values it was founded on — exceptional welfare, outstanding customer service and genuine passion for feline wellbeing.
