Hello cat lovers,

my name is Abi and I am the founder of Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotels.

I’d like to tell you a bit more about how Longcroft and I got to where we are today.

When I was looking for a cattery for my beloved cat Norman to stay while I went on holiday, I couldn’t find one that was right for him.. He was really old and set in his routine and got really upset whenever we tried to take him to catteries. This got me thinking, and after the birth of our third child and a lot of careful planning, my husband Matt and I opened the first Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel in the garden of our home in Welwyn Garden City.

The response to the hotel opening was totally overwhelming, and my hotel was soon completely booked and I had to turn away an awful lot of disappointed cat owners. At this point, I decided to franchise my business.

Armed with a loan from a family member and support from a franchising expert I set out to find like minded people who wanted the same as me: a fantastic, fulfilling job that gives me the freedom and flexibility I want.

My first franchisee was the lovely Gill in St Albans, and her hotel was the same runaway success as mine! Emma in Winchmore Hill and Letty in Royston have joined as franchisees, and I have a fantastic team to take care of the “behind the scenes” stuff, too.

Unfortunately, Norman is no longer with us. But I now have enough furry friends giving me cuddles and keeping me on my toes every day!
