SME Awards Winner

Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel founder, Abi Purser, is delighted to have been shortlisted in the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ category for the SME National Business Awards 2019. SME stands for Small Medium Enterprise, and the prestigious national awards aim to raise the profile of ‘industrious, hardworking and enterprising SME’s Nationally’. Abi, who is thrilled to be shortlisted for the awards, will attend the glittering awards ceremony at Wembley Stadium on 6 December 2019 along with other members of the Longcroft team.

Abi’s nomination for the SME National Award follows her winning the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ Award at this year’s illustrious SME Hertfordshire Business Awards. This award was presented to Abi at the Awards Final on Thursday 20 June 2019 at Hunton Park Hotel, Hertfordshire.

Abi said: “We were hugely proud to win the Entrepreneur of the Year SME Hertfordshire Business Award. It meant a great deal to me and all of the team working at Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotel Group to be recognised in this way. It reflects our focus on excellence throughout all of our five-star cat hotels and our drive to be the best in all that we do.  Being nominated for the National Award is incredibly exciting, as it recognises how we have grown Longcroft from a Hertfordshire based business, to a successful national proposition in just a few short years.”

Abi opened the very first cat hotel in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, in 2010, in response to the poor standard of feline accommodation and care offered across the UK. Longcroft won the SME Hertfordshire ‘Best New Business’ award back in 2014, following the phenomenal success of this founding hotel in Welwyn Garden City and subsequent opening of a second hotel in St Albans. Then, as now, the award was testament to Longcroft’s unique vision and provision of a state of the art, immaculate, safe, homely environment for feline guests to enjoy while their owners are away. And as of June this year, with the opening of Longcroft Orpington, there are now 20 Longcroft Luxury Cat Hotels in the country, with more in the pipeline for this year and next – a reflection of the ever growing demand for the group’s level or service and expertise.
